SVOD platforms are always looking for topics and licenses to adapt them as a series and video game is obviously an attractive pool – HBO is working on the adaptation of The Last of US , Paramount + has hit the series Halo , Netflix is interested in Resident Evil or The Division , Amazon Studios signed Fallout and could add Mass Effect, and we could multiply the examples.
In this context, we remember that Sony announced the end of 2020 its intention to decline several of its main licenses in movies or in television series – on the model of the film _ Uncharted _ released recently and waiting for seven Series projects.

In the lot, Amazon could afford the adaptation rights of the GOD OF WAR license to make it a series for its Prime Video platform. That’s what Deadline believes, who evokes a series in the actual shots of which writing would be entrusted with Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby (Executive Producers of the expanse) and Rafe Judkins, the Showrunner of the recent _ * The Wheel of Time _ and incidentally also a member of the uncharted screenwriter team _uncharted. We imagine that the characters and the mythological context of the GOD OF WAR license (the imposing Kratos struggling with a divinity pantheon sometimes Greek, sometimes northern) could easily lend itself to a serial adaptation.
