Capcom: Establish agreement in copyright law
In June of last year, the artist and designer Judy A. Juracek filed an action against Capcom because of a copyright infringement.
Part of the lawsuit was the unlawful use of images of the Japanese developer from their book, which were used in games such as Resident Evil 4 or Devil May Cry.
It was about more than 80 pictures on the book “Surface” published in 1996.
The lawyers demanded 12 million dollars for damages and other compensation.
As the law firm St. Onge IP communicates, both partners have enclosed the litigation and agreed.
Although no details are known, but it is assumed by an amicable agreement.
In the explanation it says:
“Capcom and Judy Juracek have enabled their dispute over the alleged use of Mrs. Juracek’s photos in Capcom’s play. A lawsuit was filed on February 7, 2022 at the District of Connecticut to end the dispute. “
